Beauty of Forest Canopy at FRIM Forest Skywalk
Today, I’m going to be talking about the FRIM Forest Skywalk in Kepong Botanic Garden. This is an amazing attraction that allows you to walk through the treetops and offers stunning views of the forest canopy from up above. I had an amazing time exploring the skywalk, and I can’t wait to share my photos and experiences with you all! I hope you enjoy the tour 😊
The Location
If you’re looking for a place to enjoy some peace and quiet in nature, FRIM Forest Skywalk is the perfect spot. Although the name might make you think it’s located in FRIM, it’s actually in Kepong Botanic Garden. The garden is a great place to take a stroll, relax, and take in the beauty of nature.
Entrance Ticket
First of all, you should book your trip in advance. This is because the number of slots available is limited to 40 people. If you wait until the last minute, you may not be able to get a spot. Tickets must be booked online in advance via skywalk.frim and are priced at RM15 for adults and RM8 for children aged 7 to 17 years old. Just a friendly reminder that they do not accept walk-ins at the location, especially on weekends.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the weather can be unpredictable. If it is raining or if the wind is blowing too hard, the Forest Skywalk may be closed. However, if the weather is looking dodgy, don’t worry – you can always postpone your visit to another day.. But, you should keep in mind that you will not be able to refund your ticket.
How To Get to The Entrance

After you have parked your car, you may be wondering how to get to the entrance of the forest Skywalk. don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!
If you’re coming from the car park, simply follow the pathway towards the main entrance. The pathway is well signposted, so just keep an eye out for the signs. Once you reach the main entrance, you’ll see the ticket office. Just follow the signs and queue up. Their friendly staff will be happy to help you with anything you need.
Visitor must also provide their personal details at the ticket office before entering the skywalk. We went there with #elgirls community and everything was managed by the organizer. It was a great experience and all the process feels seamless . We would like to thank the organizer for everything. If you’re looking for a way to get involved in the #elgirls community, signing up for any of Elka Elza’s activity is a great way to do it.
The Skywalk
As you continue your journey for another 150 meters from the ticket office, you’ll find yourself on a beautiful pathway that leads to the Skywalk. So make sure to take your time and enjoy the scenery. Listen to the briefing by the staff before starting the skywalk – they will give you some important safety information. You can decide who’s going to go first, there is only one way up and no turning back!
This incredible skywalk stretches for 18 metres to 50 metres above the ground, offering stunning views of the surrounding forest reserve. It’s the perfect way to appreciate the lush greenery. The skywalk is 250 meter long that takes you around in the shape of a rectangle. There are no twists or turns to other places, we can see all the people who are on top, and we won’t get lost.
The skywalk itself doesn’t feel too high, but if there is strong wind, it can sway a bit (kinda scary 😨). But even with the swaying, it felt perfectly safe the whole time. It is made up of two levels – the lower level is for walking and the upper level is for viewing. There is also a viewing platform at the end of the skywalk where you can get a bird’s eye view of the forest canopy.
Overall
The FRIM Forest Skywalk is really beautiful experience and the views were incredible. We went with our #elgirls and we had an amazing time. We laughed, we took beautiful pictures, and we enjoyed the great weather. It was just a really fun experience overall. And I think that’s what makes a place the best – it’s not just the location, but who you go with.
We had a great time at the FRIM Forest Skywalk and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique nature experience – or to those that just want to challenge themselves and overcome their fear of heights. Yeah, all of our #elgirls survived! 👏👏
